THE FIRST STEP TOWARD GREEN BONDS!
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) (https://aifc.kz/en).
Today, a delegation led by Manas Gizduaniyev, Deputy Chairman of AIFC, a leading financial institution in Kazakhstan, met with representatives of UzMRC. The meeting focused on initiating and developing green refinancing in Uzbekistan for the first time. The parties exchanged views on this area.
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the parties. According to the Memorandum, AIFC will provide support in developing a basic program aligned with international sustainable finance standards, as well as external evaluations in the ""Second Opinion on Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds"" format in line with principles set by the International Capital Markets Association."
